First visit, welcome, you are our special guest! Visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating. We at Community Baptist Church strive to make everyone feel welcome, no matter what their background may be. When you enter our church, there will be men, women, and children all around waiting to meet and greet you. Please feel free to ask our greeters any questions you may have. Don't forget to stop back by! God loves us and we want to share that love with you as our special guest.
At 9:45 am the men gather for a season of prayer. At 10:00am we break to go to Sunday School. We have classes for all ages.
During the service Pastor Ray likes to welcome all our guests. The ushers give you a special welcome packet that tells you more about our church.
Q: What Is your service like?
Our worship services are lively and directed to give God the glory. We use the old red hymn book and sing old songs of praise. Our church is full of talented singers and musicians, so we have a great choir with accompaniment instruments. We use the two styles of guitars, organ, and piano. We are old fashion and conservative with our music, but it is not dead. The preaching is geared to invoke thought and to stimulate people to serve God. Pastor Ray also presents the gospel so that those who do not know God can be saved. The service is concluded with an invitation to those who made personal decisions to follow Christ and/or to walk more closely with Him.
Q: What do I wear?
There is not a strict dress code to attend our services. Our church believes in giving God our best, whatever that might be. While our leadership dresses in suits and dresses, we understand that many come to our church on vacation and sometimes forget to bring more formal clothes. Please know, we’re more concerned with meeting your Spiritual needs than focusing on what you wear. So just come!
Q: Do you have childcare!
As soon as you enter our foyer, you will see our nursery door to your Right second door on left. We have moms and teens scheduled to watch your baby or toddler. Feel free to stay with them, but you can feel good about leaving them knowing safety for your child is our utmost priority. We also have a live service feed for the nursery, so if you have to stay with your child, you can enjoy the service via the TV.
